The history of the Hotel Savoy traces back to the early 20th century when it was built in the Art Nouveau style in 1911, and quickly became a very popular place in Prague. Its extraordinary location in the heart of Prague was another reason why it rapidly was put on the world’s cultural map.

In the year 1914 a cinema was opened in the Savoy and since then the hotel has attracted the attention of the local cultural community. After the Second World War the Savoy lost its glamour due to the ‘new’ system of the communists.

In the year 1990 the hotel got a new owner who completely renovated it and reopened the Hotel Savoy in 1994 as a five star de-luxe hotel.
The Hotel Savoy was the first hotel in Czech Republic that became a member of the chain “The Small Leading Hotels of the World” in 2000.

Since 1990 the Hotel Savoy is owned by WARIMPEX Finanz- und Beteiligungs- AG and has a management contract with the Austrian company Vienna International Hotels & Resorts.
The Restaurant Hradčany offers fine national and international cuisine and has recently been nominated in the TOP TEN of the Maurer’s gourmet guide. Only the freshest ingredients are used and daily specialities are offered.

Savoy hotel has contemporary and functional meeting rooms: two areas that can accommodate up to as many as 40 people, the library that can accommodate up to 60 guests and the Restaurant Hradčany can be changed immediately into a meeting area for as many as 150 people. Hotels Prague, Lobby
